Notes & Definitions:

1. Weather Station update rate: Data are sent from the Weather Station every 15 seconds; however, not every data packet is received due to noise, interference, and even weather. The web page only updates automatically every 60 seconds. Press the “Refresh” button to obtain the latest data.
2. Current Wind Direction: Latest wind direction in the last 15 seconds. The arrow on the “compass rose” points to the direction the wind is from. Ideally, you would take off or land in the direction of the arrow.
3. 2-Minute Avg: Average wind direction over the last two minutes.
4. Wind Speed: Average wind speed (mph) over the last two minutes. Averages 120 one-second wind speed measurements.
5. Wind Gust: The largest wind gust (mph) during any one-second period over the last ten minutes.
6. Wind Chill: Represents how cold the wind feels on your skin. Wind chill is calculated from wind speed and temperature and is only valid for temperatures less than 50 deg F and wind speeds greater than 3 mph.
7. Density Altitude: Represents the performance level of the air density as experienced by an aircraft. Density altitude (ft) is calculated based on atmospheric pressure, temperature, and humidity.
8. Packets RX: Number of weather station data packets successfully received. Reset every 24 hours.
9. Packets Miss: Number of weather station data packets missed. Reset every 24 hours.
