ABOUT ARCC
The Albuquerque Radio Control Club (hereinafter referred to as the ARCC) was formed January 1, 1955 as a Non-profit 501(c)(7) Corporation under a charter granted by the Academy of Model Aeronautics, Muncie, IN (a 501(c)(3 tax exempt organization – hereinafter referred to as the AMA).
The ARCC is organized and is operated exclusively as a social and recreational club within the meaning of section 501(c)(7) of the Internal Revenue Service Code.
Contact any club officer for a complete copy of our charter and bylaws.
MISSION
Our mission is to promote the friendly exchange of information and experience between model aviation modelers, to develop model aviation as a recognized sport and a worthwhile recreational activity and to work with local government entities to provide world class safe flying sites for our members and the Albuquerque NM area.
PURPOSE
Our purpose is to provide a common unity for model aircraft enthusiasts, to promote the scientific, educational, recreational and safety aspects of model aviation and to provide communication and assistance to members interested in increasing their understanding and skills in the various aspects of the hobby.
We value modeling activities of all types, with particular emphasis on construction and safe operation of flying aircraft; diversity of modeling interests; individual competence, willingness to share; and an environment that encourages participation and fosters fair play and friendly competition.
Our business is the efficient management of club resources; the maintenance of a framework for social interaction for the members, their families, and friends; the delivery of membership services; the enrichment of the members’ modeling experience; and the participation in appropriate community activities. From time to time, we may acquire various properties and goods as allowed by our charter related to the sport of model aviation and for the benefit of our members.
MEETINGS
We hold meetings once a month at a location and time announced in this website. Our meetings typically include a short business session, a presentation, and a display of models by the members. Guests are welcome.
FLYING SITE
The primary flying site for ARCC is the George J. Maloof Memorial Airpark. The address is 8500 81st NW, Albuquerque, NM, 87120
